Our Roots

Imagine fresh, farm-raised fish and produce in just a fraction of the space and with only five percent of the water required in traditional farming. Imagine being able to grow any crops year-round, anywhere.
An initiative of FreshMinistries, Native Fresh started as a program to build agribusiness incubators where education, hands-on training, and production will take place using these revolutionary methods.

Our System

Aquaculture

Native Fresh uses a combination of aquaculture and hydroponics, to farm both fish and plants in a healthy, cooperative relationship.

Grow Techniques

Native Fresh demonstrates a variety of growing techniques within the greenhouse.  These techniques continue to use the same nutrient-rich solution that circulates throughout the system at all times but differs greatly on their application of that emulsion.

Sustainability

Native Fresh implements a variety of sustainable techniques designed to minimize our inputs and maximize our outputs.

About Us

Native Fresh exists to educate, train, and feed the Jacksonville community through various urban farming techniques, including aquaponics, hydroponics, and traditional agriculture. Plants produced are donated to local homeless facilities and sold to the community through various outlets, including but not limited to: restaurants, farmers markets, and e-commerce.
